Dans les années 1930-1940, Rudolf-August Oetker était un membre actif des Waffen SS. De 1933 à 1945 trônait dans le hall de la société une grande affiche d'Hitler2. Durant la guerre, la société approvisionnait la Wehrmacht en vivres et en munitions. La compagnie aurait également fait appel à du travail forcé. Sous l'uniforme SS, Rudolf-August Oetker était officier au camp de concentration de Dachau.
