"Let's make a Chilean generation index 100 for simplicity, split in 50 women and 50 men. A fertility rate at 0.88 children per women means the next generation will be (0.88*50=44) 44, again 22 women and 22 men. 0.88*22 = 19.36. AKA a 81% decrease in just two generations. This also means that if you pick 100 Chileans from this generation, they will have 20 grand-children among them in total, and just 8.8 great grand children among them. Catastrophic, considering they will have to support so many elderly."

Donc si on prend une base de 100 chiliens, en moyenne ils n'auront que 20 petits-enfants, et 8.8 arriere petits-enfants, et encore si le taux ne baisse pas encore plus. Ce qui veut donc dire que d'ici 2 generations la population va baisser de plus de 80% !!!!!
