Surnommées « GIGN des prisons », les équipes régionales d'intervention et de sécurité (ERIS) ont été créées en février 2023. Mutineries, prises d'otage ou encore transferts de prisonniers à haut risque…ces unités, constituées de près de 400 hommes et femmes, agissent en cas de tension dans les établissements pénitentiaires. Leur arme la plus efficace reste la négociation avec les détenus. Les journalistes du magazine ont suivi les missions de certains de ses membres ainsi que les sélections de ses nouvelles recrues.
