Un énorme corps céleste pourrait s'écraser sur Terre en 2032. Découvert le 27 décembre dernier, l'astéroïde 2024 YR4 mesure entre 40 et 90 mètres de diamètre. La semaine dernière, la NASA a augmenté le risque que 2024 YR4 frappe la Terre à 1 sur 43 (2,3 %), avec une potentielle date d'impact le 22 décembre.

Ce mardi 11 février, dans un "thread" sur X, un scientifique a estimé que "nous pourrions ne pas être en mesure d'empêcher 2024 YR4" de percuter notre planète, même avec une mission de déviation.

En gros quand tu fais x10 à sa taille tu fais x1000 au volume.
