Dans Action Comics #8, publié en janvier 1939, Superman décide que les conditions de logement sont responsables de la délinquance juvénile. Si seulement les enfants ne vivaient pas dans des bidonvilles, ils n'auraient pas d'ennuis avec Superman. Mais que faire face à l'existence des bidonvilles ? Superman voit un article de journal qui lui donne une idée

Superman fait un bon exercice en détruisant tout le quartier. Et les habitants voient leurs maisons être détruites sans leur permission (Superman envoie juste des enfants dire à tout le monde d'évacuer 5 min avant s'ils veulent pas se faire écraser dans les décombres ???).

Superman est pourchassé par des avions de l'US Army tandis qu'il détruit tout les immeubles.

Une fois que tout est détruit, le quartier remplacés par des belles tours en béton du Corbusier et tout est réglé.

Les vieux comics et journaux de l'époque étaient imprimés comme ça. Ils avaient pas la qualité d'impression qui existe actuellement.

Cette autre version que tu as trouvé c'est un remaster plus récent (probablement conçu pour la lecture sur écran de smartphone).

C'était mieux à l'époque ou Superman était un type abusant ses pouvoirs pour faire un peu tout ce qui lui passait par tête.

Il y a énormément de comics ou Superman veut punir Loïs Lane ou Jimmy Olsen.

Donc, il crée des mises en scènes ultra élaborées en leur faisant croire qu'il est mort et qu'ils sont dans des situations désespérées. Finalement, au dernier moment, alors qu'ils sont sur le point de mourir, il leur explique que c'était une prank pour leur enseigner de ne pas le prendre pour acquis et qu'il faut le respecter davantage.

Le pire c'est que le 3/4 de ces comics finissent par Superman qui dit que c'était une blague et qu'il a agit de cette manière pour leur apprendre à ne pas reculer devant l'adversité.
