Synopsis Le conquérant Jules César a des ennuis avec ces Gaulois : Détritus, officier fourbe et déloyal, lui a caché l'existence de ce petit village. Désireux de détruire ce dernier foyer d'insurrection et fatigué de l'incompétence du centurion Caïus Bonus, César vient en personne assiéger le village des irréductibles. Il a une bonne raison : Prolix, un faux devin, a poussé les villageois à voler le chariot renfermant l'argent de ses impôts.
